“LET’S LIGHT UP THE DARKNESS TOGETHER!” WITH MMHA

OCTOBER 2018

Malaysian Mental Health Association (MMHA) celebrated their 50th Anniversary this year. To mark the significant year, the 2018 Mind Run & Carnival was organised in conjunction with World Mental Health Day on Saturday 6 October 2018. The run was held at night as a representation of the darkness surrounding mental illness. Runners wore neon coloured t-shirts and received glow bands at checkpoints as a metaphor of bringing light to the topic of mental health.

Recognising the importance of mental well-being, SPB made a donation in support of the event. Staff who were keen to participate in the 5km and 10km fun run were also sponsored by SPB. It was wonderful evening that brought Malaysians from all walks of life together to raise awareness on the issues of mental health.
