COMMUNITY NEWS

SPB believes in giving back to the community and we do this by supporting projects that have a powerful, positive impact on society as a whole as well as those who are in need.

EARLY EDUCATION FOR THE YOUNG ONES AT SMLC

JANUARY 2018

After initiating the tuition centre, SPB embarked on a new project with Selayang Mulia Low Cost (SMLC) which is the kindergarten. The kindergarten started with a reading class for 20 students from five to six years old. It was then officially opened in January 2018 with over 30 students.

Nature-loving Cikgu Anita was keen to start an edible garden which she eventually did with the help of her young students. They grew fruits and vegetables next to the kindergarten. The children enjoyed tending the garden which helps them increase their sense of responsibility.

The kindergarten was also given a breath of fresh air with a mural painted by parents and members of Kawasan Rukun Tetangga.

This year, we sponsored meals, Back to School items, reading materials and goodies for festive celebration.
